We are looking for a Celta A/B or Delta qualified teacher, preferably IHCYL qualified, who has got at least one year's experience teaching young learners. Experience in exam preparation courses (Cambridge, IELTS, TRINITY) preferred. The teacher will be expected to teach mainly young and very young learners but also some adults, on and off site. Many of our students are preparing for Cambridge or Trinity exams. Excellent computer skills essential. The teacher is expected to travel.
The ideal candidate should be flexible, helpful and independent. S/he should have a very keen interest in and experience of teaching young learners. A basic knowledge of Italian would be an advantage. Applicants should have full mastery of English across all 4 skills to CEFR C2/IELTS band 9.
An average of 20 teaching hours per week. If a teacher teaches less than 20 hours in one week, s/he will be expected to make up the teaching hours at a later date. If necessary, the teacher can be expected to teach up to 23 hours a week. He/She is expected to teach split shifts. Our working hours are between 8 am and 9 pm, Saturdays from 8.30 am to 1.30 pm.
4 hours of meetings/seminars are held every month. Meetings and seminars are paid at admin rate.
2.30 days holiday paid per month worked. Leaving bonus approx a third of a month’s salary. “Tredicesima” = approx 1/12 for every month worked; 8 / 12 considering eight months worked. For teachers staying more than 3 years and working full time, there is also an extra bonus of €500 at the end of each school year.
