At the beginning of the contract there are two Induction Days prior to the start of the academic year. During these days there are seminars, sessions to familiarise new staff with the school, its systems, the syllabuses and course materials as well as giving time for lesson planning and getting to know colleagues.
There are no regular classes on Saturdays. Teaching timetables are usually quite compact with most teaching on-site taking place between 17.15h and 22.15h Monday to Thursday and between 15.30h and 21.00h on Fridays. Off-site YL teaching takes place over the lunchtime period or between 15.00h and 17.00h. Most students attend twice a week on either Mon/Wed or Tues/Thurs taking two x 90 min. classes. The Friday option of a double session is very popular with teens and adults doing exam preparation classes.
